Javad has 6 years of R&D and professional experiences in power systems control & protection and optimal power flow (OPF) analysis. He is the Director of Power Systems & DERMS at I-EMS Group, responsible for the IESO Grid Innovation Project’s DERMS/OPF analysis; DER/DG optimal hourly (or sub-hourly) scheduling and communicating the setpoints to the local DER/DG controllers via OpenADR protocol.
Before joining I-EMS Group Ltd, Javad served as Power Systems & Control Eng., Electrical Eng. Dept., University of Waterloo (May 2018-March 2020); Power Systems & Control Eng., Digital Relays Lab, School of Electrical Eng., University of Tehran (2012-2015); Distribution System Engineer, Mehriz Distribution Company (2015); Power System Engineer, Yekta Niroo Co. (2016-2018).
